Experiencing Agitation?

If you notice more agitation coming up for you? Are you noticing the pace of things speeding up? Being more irritable? Less tolerant of others? Of your own mistakes? Perhaps family members? Money issues? Employee issues? Employer issues? You are not alone!!! Just wanted to let you know;-).

This is where we can truly notice the connection we have with others. I sat with a friend this morning, she is a business coach. I asked if she noticed more agitation in the world. She was so surprised I even said that word.

She explained that she had just had this conversation with a small business she was working with. Being agitated with each other, boss, employee, friend, neighbor, politics, issues, problems coming so fast, etc. Are you noticing this in your business/family/social settings? Fuses are short. Judgments flying? Fear and lack of feeling safe?

This played out in a story she told me. The other day two men at a gas station here in town, were in the parking lot. One accidentally bumped into the other, or at least that is my assumption. The man who got bumped took a gun out and shot the other one!!!

Immediately I thought trauma being played out. What happens with trauma is things inside of us speed up and we react quickly. Amygdala gets hi-jacked and we see life/people through the eyes of fear. Physiology goes into defend, protect, run or freeze(shut down) And bang there we are. It does not have to be a bullet, it could be words, or other behaviors.

So, we are all in this agitation cycle the human race is experiencing throughout the world. Look at the news from around the world. Do you see it?

Just because the field is being agitated, I don’t have to “be” agitated. I can acknowledge it, and stay centered in my own heart. If I allow this to run, I am adding that energy to my environment.

You may be asking, how can I do this? I go to my heart, taking my own agitation there. I breathe imaging my heart has nostril and lungs. I breathe in a little deeper than normal, slower than normal.

This takes my physiology out of the agitation cycle. Then I can consciously choose what to do next. I can choose another frequency/emotion that would serve myself in balancing the nervous system. This gives me the space to stop that cycle of agitation.

She even said the employer said with the analogy of a washing machine, can I go to just spin? Another one said, what about soak? I smiled, yes soak, can we just soak in our own hearts!!!

Trauma speeds us up, we need to learn to make space and slow down from the inside. We are witnessing global trauma, societal trauma and personal trauma that has been here for generations and generations.

The cool thing is that there a many things available to use to help us all heal and get out of the agitation cycle!!!

If I can serve you doing this for yourself and the world, please let me know.
