Intuition ..we all need to access this wisdom more!

So for me intuition is a way I can know things when I am deeply connected to my Self and everything around me, the energy field itself. Perhaps what we have learned from it all.

Instinct for me, is more about my more about my animal nature, it is hardwired into my body.  Ie..pulling my hand off a fire.  That gut feeling is usually hardwired into us as a protection of some sort.

Let’s give an example of each.

There are 3 forms of intuition I have been told.

  1. implicit knowledge – this is where we learned something from the past, it is in our filing cabinet (brain/body) somewhere. example:  when I can’t find something or think of the answer, I go take a shower, go for a walk,(to disengage the mental processing)  then all of a sudden the answer comes.
  2. energetic sensitivity – is our ability to sense the environment, the electromagnetic energy.                                                         example:  The animals that went to higher ground during the Tsunami…vs the people who were not aware, watching TV, eating etc.
  3. non-local – this is the sense of something that can’t be explained by past or forgotten knowledge or by sensing the environment.                                                                                   example:  a mother senses her child, who is in another part of the world, is hurt.

So the keys to getting in touch or in sync with this ability we all have, and some of us are willing to do the work to gain more access to this state are:       getting coherent    and   paying attention.

So, the other day I went for a walk as I usually do every morning.  About 4 blocks out I heard a still small voice inside let me know I needed my yak tracks.  It was icy, snowy and I saw that, but ignored that signal.  My ego said “I got this…I am not turning around now, you will be okay”

I was for about 4 1/2 miles of this walk, then within 4 blocks of home, I slipped on the ice on the road.  Down I went!!!

Now had I trusted that knowing, I would not have had to fall to be reminded to truly listen, pay attention..get coherent.  (the coherent part I was as I love to walk outside, yes, even in the -5 degree weather;-)

Today I was leaving for a walk.  It was drizzling as I walked down the driveway.  Once again I heard inside “may want to grab that umbrella”.  This time I listened!!!!

As I live into my heart each and every day, truly spending time “warming the heart” as the Dalia Lama suggests I can be guided more ….it takes a willingness!
