Chatter of the mind, the power of the heart

As I watch what is happening in the world, listening to the radio, I feel an incoherent wave in me.  I notice the stories starting in the brain “I like that”, “what a stupid thing to say”, “this is creating more conflict”.  Have you ever noticed that chatter of your mind?

We all come from different families who had various rules and rituals to belong.  We all come from different cultures where what is normal in one, is not in another culture.

We all have political ideas and views, creating  division in families, friends, cultures, neighborhoods and states.  Sometimes I think that we have been so programmed by the media, we don’t even question how this is happening.

We need a bigger story, one that honors each one of us.  We all want to belong and be appreciated.  Have you ever wondered how to do this?  To sit with someone who truly triggers you?  Who is longing to be heard, appreciated and treated with dignity.

One way I have learned, continue to practice daily, moment by moment is to go to my own heart.  Begin to breathe in and out.  Focusing just on heart and breath.  Allowing my mind chatter to slow down and eventually stop.  As I do this, I send what I believe is needed for each of us.  This could be compassion, appreciation, non-judgmentalness, respect or love.

As I activate this frequency I find I can truly listen and connect to them.  It is in this connection of the heart that you can come to truly understand one another at a deeper level that just the mind.

The science, the heart has an electromagnetic field that radiates 3′-15’out from the body.  This field is perceived by the other because we are connected and sitting in the same unified field. It is this “energy from our emotions and thoughts that we are radiating”.  The other “hears” this louder than the words you are saying.

What if this field was filled with love, compassion, nonjudgmental attitudes?  Can you imagine how this would influence the conversations we need to have with each other? On your team? In your family? In the government?  In the world?
